I just got bsnl dataone connection. I have taken the Home500 plan which gives me 2.5 GB limited usage including 2-8 night unlimited usage option. The bsnl provied me a Siemens modem (SL2_141) which has wi-fi and 4 ports for rj45. Now i am going to setup it on my Fedora 7 os as well as on win os too. What i did instead of pug-in the alliance RJ45 directly to my LAN card i connect to the adsl modem. Then i connect the RJ45 from modem to my LAN card (other end is connected to the modem). Connection is going fine. But i cannot access the modem from 192.168.1.1.
